For Windows systems, there are two established installation packages for TeX. These describe the installation procedure for TeX Live. MikTeX runs just as smoothly, but the configuration of TeXWorks and JabRef are also required.
You can download a ZIP-Archiv install-tl.zip from the TeX Users Group website. You will need to unpack the files if this is not done automatically. In the subfolder install-tl-date you will then double-click on the batch file install-tl. This then starts the installation program for TeX Live.
The default settings that come with our template are adequate for the installation program and no modification is required. The files for TeX systems will be downloaded from the Internet during the installation process, which, depending on the speed of your Internet connection, can take some time to complete.
Once the program has been installed, TeX Live will appear in your start menu. The TeX distribution itself will be installed under c:\\texlive as long as no other directory has been selected.
Due to a minor fault in the standard installation package of BibLaTex, you must update the TeX infrastructure before using the EOA template. In order to do this, start the program TeX Live Manager 2013 in the start menu. This program connects with the Internet and downloads a list of available updates. Use the Update all installed button to begin the update process. This process can take a few minutes.
