Download and installation

download XMLmind editor http://xmlmind.com/archive/xmleditor/7.6.0/xxe-perso-7_6_0.dmg (MacOS), http://xmlmind.com/archive/xmleditor/7.6.0/xxe-perso-7_6_0-setup.exe (Windows)
install the program, launch it and close it again. Important: if the program asks you to update to a new version, do not update!
clone the repository https://github.molgen.mpg.de/EditionOpenAccess/eoa-xmlmind.git using Github Desktop
create an Alias of eoa-xmlmind and move it to $USERDIR/Library/Application\ Support/XMLmind/XMLEditor7/addon.
rename eoa-xmlmind Alias to metopes_tei
connect to xserve01 and copy OA Publications LD/Technical Stuff/Technical Data/pdn_tools into $USERDIR/Library/Application\ Support/XMLmind/XMLEditor7/addon. You now have a folder and an alias in the addon directory.
re-open XMLmind and open the XML file you want to work on. The middle pane should show you a formatted version of the book.
Now you can make changes.
